Voici plusieurs Xenophora mediterranea trouvés dans des fonds de chaluts sur la côte sud de l'Espagne (Torre del mar). Les coquilles d' huîtres qui les ''habillent'' sont post-mortem, elles étaient vivantes lorsque je les ai ramassées ainsi que les Bernard l' ermite qui habitaient leur support. L'ombilic est creux jusqu' à l'apex comme vous pouvez le voir sur la sixième photo (apex cassé). Je les avais taxoné Xenophora crispa qui est un fossile du Pliocène de Piacenza Italie.
Here are several Xenophora mediterranea found in trawl nets on the southern coast of Spain (Torre del Mar). The oyster shells that "dress" them are post-mortem, they were alive when I collected them as well as the hermit crabs that inhabited their support. The navel is hollow up to the apex as you can see in the sixth photo (broken apex). I had taxoned them Xenophora crispa which is a fossil from the Pliocene of Piacenza Italy.
