Ce Latirus gibbulus vient d' une ancienne collection (M. Vilain) et de l' Océan Indien réunis. J' ai les plus grandes difficultés a nettoyer les coquilles de cette collection (ancienneté, vernis.....?). Certaines ont été vernis avec le periostracum, d' autres avec la bête encore dedans (après passage dans le formol???). Taille: 94 mm.
This Latirus gibbulus comes from an old collection (Mr.Vilain) and the Indian Ocean combined. I have the greatest difficulty to clean the shells of this collection (seniority, varnishes .....?). Some were varnished with the periostracum, others still with the beast inside (after passage in formalin ???). Size: 94 mm.
